Here is a very beautiful school or workshop stool with a wooden seat and a tubular steel frame, lacquered in this lovely bluish-green colour so typical of school furniture in the 1960s. Two features that confirm its age and its use in the educational environment are, on one hand, the diameter of the steel tubes, which is larger than on some more recent models (approximately 2.5 cm in diameter on the legs and around the seat), and on the other hand, the seat integrated into the steel structure (not just a piece fixed on top). These two points ensured exceptional sturdiness and longevity, which is why it is still here today and not likely to retire soon: it is practically unbreakable! It seems to me that this is indeed a stool from the famous brand Mullca, but in the absence of markings, I cannot be absolutely certain. This stool is in generally good condition, stable, very solid, with intact welds. It is equipped with its four black plastic pads, which I believe are original and fully functional. However, it obviously does not hide the patina of time and use that gives it all its charm today: marks, stains, and chips on the wooden seat, some superficial corrosion spots on the metal, the bluish-green colour is still present in places, particularly on the legs, but has almost entirely disappeared from the horizontal tubes, leaving a brown patinated steel around the seat and a shiny steel polished by the feet of schoolchildren on the lower horizontal crossbars. It measures 45 cm in height, with the seat measuring 31 cm by 31 cm. The base forms a square of 40 cm on each side. It weighs nearly 5 kg.
