Large Art Nouveau bonnetière in mahogany and sapelli, dating from the turn of the 20th century. With its characteristic curve, large bevelled mirror, and sculpted feet, it embodies the organic elegance of the 1900 style: understated, sensual, timeless. Materials: solid mahogany structure, sapelli veneers with a shimmering grain reflecting golden hues. Original large bevelled mirror. Brass hardware: period door handle and drawer pull. Features: the bonnetière opens with a single full-height bevelled mirror door, revealing a spacious interior with four shelves (height adjustable thanks to a rack system). The door locks. The slightly curved pediment, rounded corner posts, and carefully crafted sabots testify to the craftsmanship of the Art Nouveau cabinetmakers. At the base, a drawer with its original brass handle discreetly completes the piece. The changing reflections of the sapelli grain give the whole a rare depth. Renovation: this antique bonnetière has been gently sanded, then washed and protected with a clear wax. Dimensions: L102 X D43.5 X H224. Drawer: L77.5 X H12. Interior: L85.5 X D37 X H182. Spacing between shelves from top to bottom: 41-34-35-34-30. A character piece with refined design, equally at home in a bedroom or an entrance. The Art Nouveau bonnetière transcends styles: it harmonises with both contemporary interiors and collector decor. Note: given the weight of the door with its large mirror, it is recommended to secure the bonnetière to the wall to ensure stability when opening, especially when empty. Two holes are indeed provided for this purpose at the back of the piece.
