Earthenware spherical vase "Keller et Guérin Luneville / St Clément" "Blue Anemone" Collection Typical of the 1950s/1970s. This collection is a variation in terms of color and pattern on the classic collection (Reverbère Fin) that brought worldwide renown to the Lunéville factory (however, the "floral" motif remains a constant). The cursive signature "Lunéville France" indicates a date of the 1970s. Height: 18 cm. Diameter at widest point: approximately 19 cm. Diameter at neck: 10 cm. The vase is in very good condition, despite being over half a century old! Carefully packaged for shipping! A little history: Founded in 1730, the Lunéville factory was one of the most famous earthenware manufacturers in the 18th and 19th centuries. The reason is simple: all the raw materials needed for its production were already available locally (wood for the kilns, clay/kaolin for the paste). In 1892, the Keller and Gerin earthenware factories and the Saint Clément factory merged and subsequently dominated the French market (the factory notably worked with some of the greatest artists of the time, such as Emile Gallé, Richard Micque, and Paul Louis Cyfflé). Its reputation is worldwide!
