Designed by Torbjørn Afdal in the early 1960s, the “Krobo” bench is one of the most representative designs from the Norwegian designer’s collaboration with Bruksbo. The long rosewood top, supported by two frame-shaped legs, is accompanied by its original matching record holder, divided into four compartments and freely positionable along the surface. The record holder measures 35 × 35 × 34.5 cm (W × H × D). The “Krobo” was conceived as a flexible system that could be combined with different storage elements, including modules designed for records and Hi-Fi equipment. Manufactured by Mellemstrands Trevareindustri, it reflects the functional and versatile approach developed by Afdal for Bruksbo within post-war Norwegian design. The original “Mellemstrands Trevareindustri – Bruksbo Modell – Made in Norway” label is present. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG228.
