Old Bauhaus lamp in mercurized glass chrome industrial suspension.

Old and rare chrome/nickel plated suspension with mercurized/enamelled glass reflector. Beautiful workmanship and high quality finish meeting the characteristics of the bauhaus style. This suspension alone combines several materials such as bronze, brass, steel and aluminum. Very beautiful and remarkable testimony of the know-how around the work of glass at the time having a unique rendering of lighting: Large internal reflector entirely in mercurized glass. External circular protective glass mounted on hinge and cut in its center to let the bulb cover protrude. Frosted glass bulb cover, suspended bowl using three aluminum rods. Protection of the transparent glass dome reflector, fixed above the bulb. Note, some traces of logical uses for a suspension of this age: Outer bowl: slightly stitched chrome altered with one or two small minor deformations. Mercurized glass: light crack on 1cm around the anchor of the bowl cover bulb (almost invisible) Bronze ring: visible internal crack (not broken) nevertheless remains very solid. Lamp completely revised and ready to be suspended. Usable immediately, installation revised new electrical cable textile sheathed.
