Here is an adorable ceramic dove, originally a flower holder but which can also be repurposed to store makeup brushes, for example, or simply displayed in a showcase or on a shelf. It is made of glazed ceramic in a beautiful colour that ranges between old blue and turquoise depending on the lighting; it is this colour that captivated me, as I have sometimes seen it in white but never in this wonderful hue. I have not managed to capture the exact colour in the photos despite numerous attempts, but you will not be disappointed, it is very beautiful. It is signed underneath in relief in the material "Saint Paul de Vence, " by hand, unlike other examples, probably more recent, which are stamped. I believe it dates from the 1960s, but I have not been able to trace the ceramicist who created this lovely bird, as there were several workshops in this town at that time. It is a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship both in terms of shaping and glazing, reminiscent of the work of Pol Chambost. It is in perfect condition, with neither cracks nor chips. It measures 12.5 cm in length, 7.5 cm in maximum width (at the tail), and 8.5 cm in maximum height (at the head).
