Art Deco table in walnut burl
The table is veneered with walnut burl, featuring elements of different grain patterns. Its base consists of two rectangular supports adorned with numerous closely spaced horizontal mouldings that create an architectural effect of fluting. They rest on wide, tiered, and curved pedestals, which are also richly veneered with walnut burl. The tabletop measures 200 × 100 cm and reaches 300 × 100 cm with its two 50 cm extensions. The tabletop has a removable black glass plate (the wood beneath the glass is unfinished). The tabletop is 76 cm off the ground (the wheels visible in the photos are not part of the table). The underside shows a traditional wooden construction and elements related to the extension mechanism. There are no stamps, labels, manufacturer tags, or signatures, except for four assembly marks (I - IV) on the supports of the tabletop. The table is located in Liège, Belgium. The wheels visible in the photographs are modern transport carts and are not part of the table.
