Art Deco sugar bowl and milk jug Céranord Saint-Amand pale pink

Duo consisting of a covered sugar bowl and its matching milk jug in fine pink glazed earthenware by Céranord Saint-Amand. The geometric lines and angular handles directly evoke the Art Deco vocabulary of the 1930s, here softened by a particularly delicate powdery hue. Balanced volumes, with a very understated approach to the shapes: slightly faceted sides, tiered pedestals, and angular grips giving the whole a discreet yet very readable modernist silhouette. The very pale blush pink glaze lends a soft and modernist presence to the ensemble. Stamped under the base Céranord Saint-Amand France. In beautiful vintage condition, with a few discreet signs of age under the bases, and a small barely visible chip on the spout of the milk jug (see photos). Sugar bowl height 12 cm, height without lid 8 cm, width including handles 19 cm, diameter at widest point 12 cm. Milk jug height 7 cm, diameter 9 cm at widest point, handle to spout length 15 cm. A very pale blush pink combined with Art Deco lines, in a soft modernist spirit that is very current.
