Japanese raku rectangular dish, handmade, rectangular ceramic serving dish. Note that raku is always a unique piece (see the raku technique inset below) this one with its soft colors goes perfectly with designer or vintage tableware... Length 36cm. Width approx 24cm {the raku technique is a low temperature pottery firing process of japanese origin. Enameled pieces can be smoked, suddenly cooled in water, burned or even left in the open air. They will therefore undergo significant thermal shock. It is during this cooling phase that the main characteristics of this type of ceramic will appear. With the redox reaction, more or less metallic colors will appear as well as cracks and smoking effects of the earth left behind. Bully. All these parameters will make it possible to obtain a unique object.
