Dressing table 1830

French dressing table, from the 1830s, in walnut veneer with small round swivel mirror. The dressing table is distinguished by the presence of marble to protect the wood from splashes of water from the pitcher and basin, formerly used for washing. Unique enhancement of this small piece of furniture with golden wax and use of a Japanese method: kintsugi, symbolizing renewal and continuity. Can add character to a bathroom, bedroom or entryway.
