1960s. This blue ashtray/catchall is a stunning example of mid-century modern Italian glassmaking. The sculptural bowl/ashtray was designed by the legendary Flavio Poli. This piece features a vibrant cerulean blue core encased in thick, clear lead glass. The most striking feature is the Bullicante effect—a controlled pattern of air bubbles trapped within the glass layers—which adds a rhythmic texture and captures the light beautifully from every angle. It's in excellent condition.
