Sheriff Lounge Chair with ottoman by Sergio Rodrigues for Isa Bergamo 1960s

Amazing set of the Sheriff lounge chair by Sergio Rodrigues for Isa Bergamo with the matching ottoman, designed in 1957. This iconic design has obtained the first prize at the IV International Furniture Competition in 1961. Originally nicknamed “Mole armchair” or “soft chair” for its decidedly relaxed style and large wide cushion. Later the armchair was named and became known as the “Sheriff’s chair” because of its typical sheriff’s straps and belts. Large soft leather cushion supported by thick saddle leather straps are draped over the sculptural wooden frame. This particular set is in very good original condition, with the leather still soft and supple. This chair with ottoman will add comfort and style into any space and will create the perfect lounge!
