Louis XVI style coffee table – Gilded wood and Carrara marble

Louis XVI style coffee table in carved wood, gilded with gold paint, featuring a white Carrara marble top veined with grey and a scalloped edge in the shape of a cartouche. The apron displays a continuous bead frieze, corner rosettes, and a central medallion decorated with carved flowers and foliage. The four legs are fluted and tapered, typical of the Louis XVI neoclassical vocabulary, connected by an H-shaped stretcher topped with a carved floral bouquet in the centre. The gilding, later retouched, is in good overall condition; some slight signs of natural wear are visible on the edges and the stretcher. Made in the early 20th century in the Louis XVI style. Dimensions: H. 52 cm – W. 120 cm. Weight: 60 kg. Delivery is the responsibility of the buyer, given the weight of the piece.
