Conceived in the heart of the 1970s for a lifestyle resolutely focused on lounge hedonism, this coffee table combines the rigor of an orthogonal design with the refined brilliance of mirror-like chrome. Its silhouette, minimalist to the extreme, is reduced to a simple ribbon of chromed steel forming a perfect rectangle, into which a clear glass top is inset. Yet, this minimalism is deceptive: every detail, from the impeccable mitered edges to the mirror-polished reflections, reflects the expertise of Belgian and French workshops working, in the mid-1970s, for the high-end brands of the era. Everything here rests on a subtle balance: the airiness of the glass against the mineral quality of the chrome; visual lightness versus real solidity. The table plays with light, captures reflections, mirrors the surrounding lines, and multiplies perspectives, ready to become the focal point of your living space. Its silhouette, all sharp angles and taut lines, is reminiscent of the creations of Willy Rizzo or Guy Lefèvre for Maison Jansen—when furniture became decor, and chrome served as a mirror to modernity.
