Art Deco dining chairs in lacquer & Alcantara, Paris, 1930, set of 10
Set of 10 Art Deco dining chairs made of solid beech wood, stained in a dark red mahogany or caccasar tone and finished with a high-gloss lacquer. Completely reupholstered and covered in cream-white Alcantara leather with single piping. Very comfortable seating thanks to a large seat cushion and an upholstered, slightly reclined and curved backrest. The dining chairs were originally part of a Macassar ebony dining room set made by 'Georges & Gaston Guerin' in Paris in the 1930s. The sideboard from the dining room is signed and also available for sale, as well as a smaller display cabinet. Six chairs are original from around 1930, and four chairs were reproduced at a later date. After restoration, there is no visible difference between the originals and the Art Deco style ones. The quality is equal. Fully restored, refinished, and reupholstered condition.
