Three-seater basket canapé in Louis XV style – 19th century

Charm of yesteryear and authenticity for this magnificent 3-seater basket sofa in Louis XV style (late 19th / early 20th century). Featuring elegantly curved and flowing lines, this characterful model rests on its original brass small castors, allowing for easy movement. It is upholstered in a canvas adorned with delicate floral patterns embroidered in a lovely palette of pink and beige. Its enveloping structure offers a low seat and a beautiful depth, typical of salon furniture from this era. An ideal piece to add a romantic, boudoir, or shabby chic touch to an interior, or to serve as a base for a beautiful reupholstery project for restoration enthusiasts. Satisfactory condition. Note: The wooden structure is sound and has been treated against insects by its previous owner. There are visible veneer losses in several places on the sides and back, which testify to its history.
