Engraving bird parrot, the parakeet with wide tail jacques barraband

Framed engraving of a parrot, "the broad-tailed parakeet, young age". Inscription also at the bottom of the work "barraband pt" and "imprimerie de langlois". The bird is depicted perched on a tree branch. The engraving is framed in a glass and wooden frame. The frame is of the "marie-louise" type in khaki green fabric. Jacques barraband (1768-1809) was a french painter, draughtsman and illustrator, specializing in zoology. Note: the engraving and the frame are in a very good condition, some traces of dust inside the glass (see photo). Frame dimensions: Height: 34cm. Width: 28, 5cm.
