Superb enamel dish from Longwy, signed, year 1940.

Round plate 36 cm in diameter Emaux de Longwy decor signed Rolande Rizzi. "Decor by R. Rizzi" attributes the design to Rolande Rizzi (born in 1927), a famous artist and decorator active within the factory from 1944 to 1949. This plate bears the unique number 4, making it an early example from the series, particularly sought after by collectors. The red ink signature "Rehaussé AK" indicates that the reliefs of the piece were executed by hand by Albert Kirchtetter (1910–1976), one of the greatest enhancement masters in the history of pottery.
