Elegant solid oak cabinet, dating from the 1920s-30s, in the Art Deco style. ■ The cabinet rests on four straight, slender legs, connected by a lower shelf. ■ The upper section comprises: A drawer in the front, fitted with a gilt metal shell handle, A compartment closed by a door, with a small brass handle, A brown veined marble top, typical of bedside tables of the period, A back panel adorned with a carved floral motif framed by rectangular moldings. ■ The small carved decoration on the back panel and the curves at the front of the cabinet still evoke the Art Nouveau heritage, but simplified, which corresponds well to the transition to Art Deco. ■ Straight and geometric lines (legs, panel frames). ■ Decoration reduced to a few carved touches. ■ Combination of solid oak and marble. Its understated yet elegant style, combined with discreet decorative details, evokes the early days of Art Deco. This type of furniture was traditionally used as a bedside table, sometimes in bourgeois or country-style bedrooms. Dimensions: D 34 cm x W 36.5 cm. H 82 cm without back panel. H 92 cm with back panel. Contact me for personalized delivery.
