With its clean lines and soft, organic curves, this serving trolley showcases the principles of Scandinavian modern design, emphasizing functionalism, minimalism, and high-quality craftsmanship. While there is no maker's mark or label, research shows that this serving cart was probably sold in the 1950s by the iconic luxury department store Nordiska Kompaniet in Stockholm (the Swedish equivalent to Saks, Harrods or Lafayette). Coloured in black and white and made from Formica, both surfaces are in very good condition and after some 70 years have stood the test of time. The two drawers are fitted with wooden handles and open easily - with one drawer also fitted with dividers for four practical compartments. All four caster wheels turn well. This is a well-proportioned serving trolley with a dash of Swedish 'Lagom', making it a purposeful yet elegant addition to its new home. Dimensions: Height: 67 cm, Depth: 43 cm, Length: 70 cm. Packed with extra care for safe shipping! Please note: With a lifetime of stories behind them, our vintage design items come with a bit of character. Like the best of us, they may have picked up some scratches and scuff marks, acquired patina, and that original shine may have faded a little.
