This rare wooden console table was designed by Charlotte Perriand for a private residence in Méribel Les Allues, France. Characterised by its sculptural simplicity, the piece features a long, gently contoured top supported by a single cylindrical leg and discreet wall brackets. The warm patina of the wood highlights its honest construction and alpine modernist spirit. Designed as a functional yet architectural element, it works equally well as a console, desk, or display surface. Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999) was a pioneering French designer and architect, and a key figure in 20th-century modern design.
