Eames and Miller leather armchair

Black leather armchair, Soft Pad EA 205 model, by Charles Eames (1907-1978) and Ray Eames (1912-1988), in collaboration with Herman Miller & Interform publisher. This very comfortable armchair has become a classic. It was designed in 1969, and bears the Herman Miller acronym and the reference 938-147 engraved on the base, as well as a stamp from the publisher Interform. Polyurethane foam padding composed of three cushions sewn in original premium black leather upholstered.‎ Side profiles and tension stirrups in injected aluminum, with chrome finish.‎ The four-star base is in injected aluminum, with chrome finish, fixed. Good condition, nice patina of the leather, despite some wear and losses, signs of the passage of time for this timeless armchair, designed half a century ago.
