Mid-Century Large Blue Swirl Glass Bowl Atoll by Anna Ehrner for Kosta Boda / Sweden / 1990s. This beautiful glass bowl was designed by Anna Ehrner for Kosta Boda in the 1990s. It is part of a series of glass bowls that were produced by Kosta Boda during that decade. The bowl is made of thick glass. It is a wonderful example of Swedish design from the 1990s. Designed by Anna Ehrner for Kosta Boda, this large Atoll bowl is handblown in blue art glass with flowing layered patterns characteristic of the Atoll series. The wide, shallow form makes it suitable as a decorative bowl or centerpiece. As each piece is handblown, subtle variations in color and pattern are part of the design. Original Kosta Boda label present. Very good vintage condition. Has a manufacturing defect due to air drops (watch the video).
