Modular css system bookcase by George Nelson by mobilier international

Modular bookcase by the designer Georges Nelson published by Mobilier International at the end of the 60s. This ingenious system (css = comprehensive storage system) allows you to place these elements or you want on the metal studs in order to make a composition adapted to your needs. You see a possibility here in photo as an example. This set consists of: A drawer module. A set of 5 shelves to store what you want (decoration, books, etc ...). The metal uprights are adjustable in height from 250cm to 265cm (possibility to shorten if necessary). This system also allows a floor/ceiling installation through spring patina that attaches to the upper part of the metal farmhouse (parts supplied). All the elements can be fixed front or rear depending on what you want to expose or the needs you have for the installation. This library is a real asset for those who want to reconcile the practical with the aesthetic. The set is made of wood with walnut veneer, it is the most sought after version and the most difficult to find (white or black melamine models are less aesthetic and less sides). Presence of the stamp of the international furniture publisher inside the box (drawer). Condition report: I posted a large number of photos that allow to make a clear opinion of its condition.this set is in good condition, no breakage, no missing elements in the frames and the assembly elements are complete. However this library is not new, it is vintage so it contains slight scratches and surface friction in some places, 2 or 3 small stitches in the veneer that have been made up and attenuated, these slight defects are the vestiges of its use, they are shallow, little visible to the naked eye which does not remove the general charm and the beautiful patina of the wood.
