This traditional caucasian shirvan rug was handwoven in azerbaijan in the late 19th century, circa 1880, with the finest hand spun wool. Featuring a geometric central design and repeat pattern border. Red, blue and yellow accents have been woven on the geometric central medallion design on a fresh ivory background. The colour palette and patterns in this sophisticated piece are sure to uplift any space it is introduced into. Only the finest hand-spun wool and cotton have been used, dyed using organic vegetable dying techniques. This rug was handwoven in azerbaijan by the shirvan people, the shirvan nomads are found in the north west of iran.
