Nanny Still for Raak Globe Pendant Lamp 1960s Copper & Glass Finnish Modern

Rare Raak Globe pendant lamp designed in the 1960s by Finnish designer Nanny Still-McKinney for Dutch lighting manufacturer Raak. An exceptional Arts and Crafts-inspired modernist design with influences reminiscent of Evans and Esherick. The orange and green glass globe was created using an unusual production technique in which the glass was blown into a perforated copper shell. The copper has developed a beautiful natural patina over time, giving the lamp a rich sculptural character. The pendant emits a warm atmospheric light and works beautifully in both modern and vintage interiors. The lamp has a standard E27 screw fitting. Dimensions: height 15 cm, diameter 18 cm.
