Italian brutalist rosewood chest by Santambrogio & De Berti

This striking 1960s Italian modernist trunk is a quintessential example of the collaboration between designers Santambrogio & De Berti. Crafted from rich, dark-grained rosewood, the piece serves as a sophisticated marriage of mid-century elegance and bold brutalist textures. The focal point of the design is a continuous, hand-chased brass frieze that wraps around the base, featuring an intricate array of abstract and geometric relief patterns. The trunk is in very good vintage condition except one water stain which is only visible in a certain light.
