Armchairs designed by one of the most outstanding Polish designers of the post-war period, Professor Edmund Homa. Produced since 1965 at the Gościcińska Furniture Factory. The GFM-64 low-back armchair was part of a set that also included a high-backed chair, a headrest, and a footrest. The set won a silver medal at the National Fair "Autumn 1965" and became one of the most popular export products of the PRL era. A low-back armchair—more universal (smaller) than its high-backed sibling—was more commonly sold on the domestic market and was at the time a symbol of luxury and good taste. The armchairs underwent a woodworking and upholstery renovation. After removing the old varnish, the wooden frame was stained brown and covered with several layers of varnish. The furniture's upholstery was replaced and reupholstered with high-quality fabric.
