"Iviken" table lamp known as Ice Cube – IKEA Vintage, 1990s

Iconic table lamp "Glaçon" (Iviken model) published by the Swedish company IKEA during the 1990s. This sculptural light fixture takes on the minimalist shape of a melting ice cube. It consists of a large, heavy block of moulded glass, with an organic textured exterior mimicking frost, while the internal walls are delicately frosted. The diffuser fits onto its original moulded white plastic base, equipped with its wiring. When lit, the unique texture of the glass filters the bulb to diffuse a particularly soft, muted, and warm ambient light. A great classic of late 20th-century Scandinavian design, perfect for adding a retro-minimalist touch to a sideboard, bedside table, or desk. Condition. Very good overall condition and fully functional. The glass block shows no chips or major cracks. The electrical system is original (inline switch and socket for a small bulb, preferably LED to avoid overheating). Very slight normal signs of use under the base. * Publisher: IKEA * Model: Iviken. * Period: 1990s. * Materials: Thick moulded glass, plastic base. * Dimensions: Approximately 15 cm X 15 cm X 15 cm.
