Splendid octagonal wall mirror from the 1960s, a product of refined Spanish craftsmanship. This exquisite piece stands out for its exceptional construction quality: the back support structure and the outer frame are entirely made of solid wood segments assembled with vintage wavy fastenings, a feature of great value compared to common industrial models made of plywood. The frame features an elegant and continuous border of cobalt blue glass, enriched with rich gold leaf flakes applied to the back of the glass (eglomisé technique). The geometric joints and borders are decorated with floral rosettes in the corners and a refined double moulding in gilded wood, showing a splendid original patina due to age. Condition: The mirror is in excellent vintage condition, with shiny glass and luminous gilding. Although the wooden structure is exceptionally solid, it has a small chip due to age with some paint loss on the dark lacquer of the left outer profile (clearly documented in the detailed photos). The piece has been intentionally left unrestored to preserve its historical charm and authenticity. It comes complete with its original cord for hanging on the back.
