Valenti hammered and enamelled bowl, Padua, Italy, 1960s. A charming enamelled bowl by Valenti from the city of Padua (Italy). This is a wonderfully fine and delicate copper enamelled bowl in blue. The enamel features beautiful shades of blue and a bright, shiny appearance, almost liquid and wet. A true universe in which one can get lost. The bowl, with an eggshell-like fineness, is hand-hammered on the outside, giving it a lovely tactile texture. The light hitting this bowl creates a beautiful three-dimensional effect. A unique and magnificent piece from the heart of enamel work in Italy - Padua was the centre of this art in the mid-20th century. It resembles the works of the famous enamel artist Paolo de Poli. This Valenti bowl is of a quality and brilliance equal to those of De Poli's works. In excellent vintage condition, signed Valenti on the underside.
