Pair of bedside tables – Louis XV style – Solid oak – Brass

Pair of Louis XV style bedside tables made of solid oak stained dark brown, each opening with a single drawer at the front. The drawer is adorned with relief carvings depicting scrolls and rocaille volutes, with a patinated brass handle. The apron features a carved shell motif at its centre, characteristic of the Louis XV repertoire. The whole rests on four slender cabriole legs ending in carved scrolls. The top displays a typical moulded scalloped edge of the period. Light signs of wear and small nail holes are visible on the surface, attesting to the age of the pieces. Handcrafted in the French regional tradition, dating from the 1950s. Dimensions: H. 70 cm – W. 45 cm. Sold as a pair.
