This offer features an elegant, antique cabinet dating back to the second half of the 19th century, crafted with exceptional attention to artisanal detail. The piece is a prime example of historicist furniture making, drawing inspiration from the tradition of 17th-century cabinets. The body and fronts are finished in fine walnut veneer featuring a beautiful, striking grain pattern (known as "walnut mirrors"), accentuated by precise geometric inlay in a lighter wood tone on the doors and drawers. The upper section conceals a central niche and a system of smaller internal drawers. The entire unit rests on a sturdy base supported by eight richly turned legs (featuring barley-twist or bobbin-style turnings), connected by a stable lower shelf (stretcher) and terminating in ball feet. The interior retains its original box locks, brass fittings, and key escutcheons, attesting to the piece's historical authenticity. The cabinet offers ample storage, including double outer doors, a spacious arrangement of external drawers, and an internal secretary section with small drawers concealed behind the doors. Condition: Very Good / Antique; professionally restored or in a well-preserved original state. Natural signs of age and history are visible (minor scuffs, traces of patina on metal fittings), enhancing its authenticity and antique character. The structure is stable, and the locks and drawers are fully functional. Dimensions: Total height: 137 cm. Width: 120.5 cm. Depth: 53 cm.
