“Câlin” corner sofa by Pascal Mourgue for Cinna

An icon of French design from the 90s, the “Câlin” sofa was designed in 1994 by Pascal Mourgue for Cinna / Ligne Roset. Inspired by cushions sculpted in sand, it offers seating as comfortable as a large pillow resting on slender aluminium legs. I am selling a 4-seater corner set in red fabric, composed of 3 independent modules: – 1 double armchair. – 1 single armchair. – 1 corner element. (The elements can be used together in a corner or separately in the room). Dimensions: • 2-seater (D 90 X W 166 X H 77), • 1 corner seat (D 90 X W 90 X H 77), • 1 seat (D 90 X W 80 X H 77), → set: W 256 X D 170 X H 77 cm. Condition. Set in good overall condition, with a patina consistent with its age: – some signs of use and small stains on the fabric (see photos) – small scratches on the aluminium legs. – slight discolouration on the top of the backrest of the 2-seater module, due to sun exposure (visible in the detail photos). The seating remains very comfortable, the structure is stable, and the sofa is perfectly usable on a daily basis. As the covers are removable, cleaning or changing the fabric is always possible for anyone wishing to restore it to new condition.
