Set of 6 chairs black, manufactured in the United States for the General Fireproofing Company, Youngstown Ohio, 1969 edition. Label as well as the year of manufacture (07/07/1969) visible under seat. The stacking Chair 40/4 David Rowland is one of the most important creations of the 20th century. Its elegant lines, excellent ergonomics and its unparalleled ability to create space without taking up space continue to attract architects and designers. No doubt the multifunctional design, the 40/4 Chair icon in design collections and museums around the world. Chairs are in very good conditions, they were cleaned and glossy but remain in their States of origin, they are nevertheless a few marks and signs of use for a product of nearly 50 years. one of the chairs has a few claws and marks on the base, a few very slight oxidation marks (see photos). The PADS have been replaced for the protection of soil and are not the originals
