Primitive Folk Art Chair

Traditional antique mountain chair from southern germany. This characteristic and primitive chair is made entirely by hand and is connected with mortise and tenon joints. This copy is made of pine wood and was once painted. This old paint is quite worn in some places and has a beautiful patina. Minimal traces of use can be seen, such as some old woodworm holes in the legs. These have of course been checked and treated. The chair is sturdy and suitable for daily use. The date is around 1850. 52cm seat height, 98cm back height, 42cm wide, 45cm deep.
