Elegant glazed ceramic basket, attributed to the Pichon factory in Uzès, dating from the 1960s. Entirely handcrafted, this piece stands out for its remarkable openwork weaving, evoking the delicacy of traditional basketry. Its decoration is enhanced by small relief flowers, delicately arranged around the edge and inside the basket. Its shiny glaze in shades of honey, ochre, and caramel highlights the details of the shaping and gives it a beautiful depth. Both a piece of popular art and a decorative item, this basket illustrates the craftsmanship of the pottery workshops in Uzès. It will naturally find its place on a table, sideboard, or console, in a contemporary, Mediterranean, or chic country interior. Dimensions: diameter 26 cm – height 10 cm. Condition: very good overall condition. There is a tiny chip, very discreet and easily restorable, with no apparent impact on the stability or overall aesthetics of the piece. A beautiful piece of French artisanal ceramics, with timeless charm.
