Metal workshop cabinet for a GMC CCKW 353 truck, US Army, World War II, 1941-1945

Rare 1941-1945 workshop cabinet with drawers, originally fitted to the US Army's GMC CCKW 353 workshop truck during World War II. It features 20 drawers of varying sizes and a numbered 21 drop-down door at the bottom. This cabinet is in its original, unrestored condition. It was used in American workshop trucks as a workbench for weapons repair, heavy mechanical work, welding, and other tasks. The cabinet is equipped with a 1 cm thick steel top, known as a "marble." This cabinet can be reused or repurposed in various ways. This rare and aesthetically pleasing piece would be a perfect fit for an industrial interior. Ideal for a collector looking to refit a vintage GMC workshop truck or even to outfit a heavy truck for long journeys or safaris. An original locking system, including a removable grille, secures the drawers during extended trips. This grid retracts into the cabinet and becomes invisible when in use (see photos). Cabinet dimensions: Height 86 cm, Width 1.23 meters, Depth 51 cm. For your information, I have four identical cabinets with only slight variations in the number and dimensions of the drawers: 20 or 21 drawers, depending on the cabinet.
