Watercolor fauviste simone fonfreide (1910-2008) The pesturie. Paper, 35cmx27cm format. Provenance workshop background. Daughter of victor fonfreide born in 1910 in vic-sur-cère, she accompanies her father, she draws mountains, burons, shepherds and their herds. A student of fernand léger, she practiced mural painting and acquired a style that combined purity, simplicity of shapes and rich colours. His style emphasizes pictorial qualities and strong color on representation and realistic values. From 1955, she moved back to auvergne in vic-sur-cère, where she lived until her death in 2008. She paints many oils, watercolours, washes, gouaches represent the cantal mountains.
