Old wooden wall-mounted coat rack mirror
A vintage wooden wall-mounted coat rack mirror, both practical and warm, combining a mirror, shelves, and hooks to create a charming entryway. The rectangular mirror is framed by wood with pronounced grain, likely oak, in a beautiful warm brown hue. Its upper part is adorned with a sculpted applique in scrolls, softening the lines of the whole piece. An upper shelf with a molded edge and a second shelf below the mirror allow for placing keys, mail, or small items. Below, three black wrought iron hooks, finished with lovely curled scrolls, hold coats, bags, or hats. The slightly curved side posts beautifully frame the mirror. With its ironwork and carved wood, this coat rack fits into the spirit of rustic French furniture highly appreciated in the mid-20th century. This vintage mirror will naturally find its place in an entryway, hallway, or country house. It is fixed to the wall using two metal attachments located at the back. The mirror shows scratches, marks, and areas of oxidation on the silvering. The wood shows some scratches, wear, and small marks on the shelves.
