Dutch industrial design school chairs Stoelen Friso Kramer 1st edition

Pure Dutch design... Unique in a particularly large lot of 'result' chairs in vintage design of 40 pieces. These are the rare friso kramer chairs from the 1st edition with a wide seat. Designed by the Dutch designers friso kramer and wim rietveld for ahrend de cirkel (zwanenburg, holland) in the 1960s. Friso kramer (1922) belongs to the first generation of industrial designers in the Netherlands. His efforts to modify and improve the industrial product were of great importance to the profession and influenced many industrial designers in the following years. Material: sheet steel frame, u-profile/chassis and seat/backrest made of plywood. The seat height is 48 cm. Considering its age, in good vintage condition. Special because of its robust, industrial and above all timeless character. Wonderful to place them on a nice long table or to use as an office chair. That's Dutch industrial design!
