Secret box

Beautiful vintage secret box in thuya wood, trompe l'oeil depicting 3 stacked books. The first book is a cover, a wooden slate in front slides to be removed and reveals the lock which is unfortunately missing (no key either) so we have a small chest made up of the middle book. The bottom book is a secret compartment, the edge slides to the left, allowing the end board to be removed and revealing hidden storage. 11cm high, 15cm wide and 11cm deep. Box 5cm high, 13cm wide, 10cm deep. Secret compartment 1.5cm high, 13cm wide and 9.5cm deep. Good general condition, some discreet marks of time, notably missing lock and key, front slats of the 2nd book a little damaged, one of which has a small chip. A few small superficial scratches on the top, discreet, as well as 2 very small chips on an edge, very barely visible. Some traces of glue under the top edge of the 3rd book, also very barely visible. Around 800gr.
