Restored leather mid-century modern low sofa

We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptionally rare, restored brown leather sofa with an incredibly low mid-century modern design. This sofa is remarkably low, making you feel almost as if you are sitting on the floor, perfect for a relaxed 1960s/70s vibe among friends. The piece features exceptional lines at the front and sides. The sofa has been restored: the leather, originally green, has been stripped, hand-dyed six times, aged, sealed, and then waxed to achieve a beautiful cigar brown hue. It shows normal signs of patina due to age and use. The cushions are intentionally a bit oversized to allow for movement as you wish. Dimensions: height 58 cm, width 234 cm, depth 89 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Available for collection from the Pulborough warehouses. It is recommended to wax the leather annually to prevent moisture loss, and to avoid exposing the hand-dyed leather to prolonged direct sunlight as this may dry it out and cause discolouration.
