Caramel ocher alabaster ashtray Romano Bianchi Italy

Very beautiful caramel-colored alabaster ashtray with black veining. It no longer has a label, but it most likely comes from the italian company romano bianchi, this caramel color with black veining being one of the typical colors of the quarries operated by this family business. It is an artisanally made object, sculpted by hand. It dates from the 60s or 70s. The faces are very smooth, very nicely polished while the edges are rougher, just lightly polished to eliminate rough edges that are unpleasant to the touch. The bottom side is also very pretty, you could even make it visible by using it upside down as a paperweight. It is in good general condition, the bottom of the ashtray is still very smooth, very clean, but it does not hide a few marks which testify to its age and use: three or four lighter parts around the edge which are probably marks. Chips or knock marks, and small abrasions on the edges. It measures approximately 15 cm by 14 cm with a thickness of 2.5 cm.
