Here is a magnificent entryway or coat rack that serves as a coat rack, mirror, shelf, and umbrella stand all in one. Iconic of the 50s and 60s with its colorful wooden ball hooks mounted on a black lacquered tubular metal frame. I haven't been able to determine if this model, like the "Atomic" or "Treble Clef" models, was also designed by Roger Feraud (1890-1964), but it is very much in the same style. And I even find it more practical because its large mirror allows for a final head-to-toe check before leaving, and it's aesthetically more pleasing. It features six lacquered wooden hooks, a mirrored shelf, and a tray to prevent wet umbrellas from dripping in the entryway. And you'll even have the satisfaction of having saved a piece of French design, as I found it in poor condition: I repainted the frame and applied a matte varnish. The mirror and shelf (not included) were custom-cut (bronze-tinted mirror); the shelf is surrounded by a bent metal channel; the tray, originally red, had already been repainted black, so I chose to repaint it in that same shade (leaving the red underneath so you'll have the exact color if you want to match it). The baubles were left as they are, as they are still quite presentable, and the paint isn't chipping (but a coat of gloss varnish would protect them for many years, especially if you plan to hang wet jackets on them). It is therefore now in very good condition, but still has a few marks on the baubles that attest to its age (not very visible, notably a hole filled with wood filler, but located above the tallest bauble). Also note a barely visible scratch on the mirror. It measures 182 cm at its highest point, 72 cm at its widest point, and 14 cm at its deepest point. It will need to be fixed to the wall using two holes provided for this purpose, otherwise it may fall under the weight of coats.
