Alicudi table by Ettore Sottsass for Zanotta

Designed by Ettore Sottsass and produced by Zanotta in the early 1990s, the Alicudi table is a refined example of the designer's exploration of colour, form, and symbolism in domestic design. Created after the founding of the Memphis group, the table is part of a celebrated series dedicated to the Aeolian Islands, featuring a solid cherry wood structure with four turned legs and a rectangular top in decorative plastic laminate in light yellow and sage grey. The table balances sculptural presence with domestic intimacy, making it ideal as a dining or centre table in representative or exhibition spaces. This original Zanotta example from the early 1990s is in excellent vintage condition, with minor signs of use consistent with age and materials.
