Vintage bookcase, Bytom Furniture Factory, Poland, 1960s.

A walnut veneer bookcase manufactured by Bytomskie Fabryki Mebli in the 1960s. It is part of the ‘Syrius’ type 1050 furniture set. The legs are made of solid beech wood. The bookcase is covered with walnut veneer with attractive grain. It has a pair of sliding doors in walnut veneer, two shelves in the lower part, one shelf in the upper part and two sliding glass panels. A characteristic feature of the ‘Syrius’ series furniture are metal handles and turned legs that taper towards the bottom. The bookcase is preserved in its original vintage condition. It has natural signs of use. It looks great. No unpleasant odour inside. The furniture is clean and well-maintained. Refreshed. By buying vintage items, you give them a second life and protect the environment.
