Set of 3 wooden boxes on tray set office or smoker

Nice wooden set, in an art deco style, composed of a tray and three covered wooden boxes, very practical on a desk to order small material. The set probably dates from the 60s or 70s, maybe it's a smoker's set. Does this make up a set... I don't know but it was together that I found them. The boxes are made of lacquered wood, they are in good condition, still very solid, no scratches, just a few stains or discolorations that can attest to their age. The tray with small spherical feet was made of varnished wood, but the varnish faded in places. It is still very solid but also has marks of the time: some scratches and discolorations, and especially the wood on top was raw, I imagine that at the time there was a coating, maybe felt or veneer. I replaced this coating with a current self-adhesive vinyl but in the vintage spirit. Its adhesive power is relatively limited (because it is quite thick and therefore a little too rigid for this use), so you can easily change it if you feel like it (and it is even possible that it is necessary, if it comes off quickly). The top measures 42 cm by 25.5 cm for a height of 5 cm. The boxes measure respectively 12.3x12.3 for a height of 9 cm handle included, 14.5x10 for a height of 8 cm handle included, 10.7x8.5 for a height of 6.2 cm handle included. The set weighs about 1.3 kg.
