Engraving in perfect condition of fauvism style signed othon-friesz

Single engraving on a multiple support by the patented aeply process developed by jean fautrier around 1950 (rare). On this landscape we notice very well the pictorial thickness enhanced by hand which proves that this engraving is unique even if the print of the support was several copies (see photo details). It is a work of the most beautiful period of othon-friesz in the fauvism style, and therefore close to the works of dufy, derain, vlaminck. This period is quite short in history which means that works of this style are rare and rated. History of this process: in the years 1949-1954, fautrier developed an innovative reproduction process. By combining printmaking and solid pigments by means of stencils or screens as well as by hand, this process allowed the reproduction of paintings in thicknesses, thus producing "originals on multiple supports", either mounted on canvas mounted on frame, mounted on cardboard, or on paper, which artists sometimes signed and numbered, with the ambition of disseminating their works while making them more affordable. These aeply reproductions are represented by the greatest artists such as: braque, derain, dufy, gris, fautrier, klee, picasso, othon-friesz, signac and vlaminck. To conclude, an hst of othon-friesz of this kind is estimated at several tens of thousands of euros. This engraving under the aeply process, provided that this process is explained, is at a much lower price.
