Tripod floor lamp in oak and brass, three lights, shelf with glass holders – 1950s, lampshades made of multicoloured rhodoid strips. A rare and picturesque floor lamp from the 1950s, straddling the line between lighting and living room furniture. An octagonal oak shaft rises from an octagonal base resting on three tapered legs in black lacquered metal, with patinated brass finishes at the joints. At mid-height, a round shelf with two slots for glasses or cups transforms the lamp into a small auxiliary bar, side table, or serving cart. At the top, three undulating and adjustable brass arms each hold a coloured socket (green, yellow) topped with a conical lampshade made of pink, green, red, and white laminated rhodoid strips. These colourful lampshades add a truly pop and joyful touch, very characteristic of the "Glorious Thirties" spirit. There are stains on the lampshades and signs of age in general. The lamp is functional, with guaranteed coloured light… the lamp is height adjustable. A small screw allows for raising the three lights. Maximum height 1.76 m. Minimum height 1.60 m. Width of the bottom shelf 40 cm. No switch.
